Nick Hornby has produced another extraordinary novel turned screenplay in this post-war, pre-beatles coming-of-age story. I fell in love with the classic 60's style and the political commentary on the place of women in the early 6o's. It's a film for the romantic, much like myself, a film that portrays a seemingly inappropriate relationship as natural. One of the best of 2009.

Im usually not one to buy much thrifted clothes (not that i'm a snob or anything, more so that i think the whole vintage style doesn't really suit me very much) however i kinda fell in love with this blazer that i got for 8$! maybe its the color, or the simple military style detailing with silver buttons. anyways, i had the the tee media review awards tonight in which my group won the fiction-narrative category for the film that i have blogged about in previous entries! wooot we were pretty ecstatic!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIVIENNE!

i left my battery pact at home!! so these images were taken on viv's camera, but i hardly have any images from the day :( i had asian food for lunch and dinner to celebrate vivs birthday, so i'm kinda all asianed out for the time being.

Anyways, the discovery of the day was this popup shop (for people who don't know what that is, its a shop that moves every few months or so). its currently situated in northbride on francis street until next friday, when its moving again! It stocked heaps of one-of items, it was the coolest things ever. Viv bought that green dress, which looked amazing on her! if you live in the perth area, be sure to check it out.
