It's a New Year and so, hiatus is over.

4 months sans blogging. 4 months of not sleeping when the sun goes down. 4 months of drinking, working and socializing. Life has been crazy hectic over the last 4 months, in the very best way possible. Blogging seemed less appealing as the hipsters of the sleepy deathtoll town starting invading the interwebs and my time was spent out and about as opposed to behind a screen. The computer was there only for a quick facebook check from time to time and syncing my ipod to new trashy party music. But alas, the start of my university life is creeping up on me and therefore I have recommenced blogging. Hopefully i'll be able to maintain a steady flow of posts and snaps. On verra!

So what's new in the life of an 18-year-old girl stuck in the most isolated suburbia in the world? Let's keep this short; I've moved house, worked almost everyday of December, saw several concerts (which includes Lisa Mitchell, Gorillaz and Muse), spent the new year in a friends shed about 3 hours south of Perth, danced the days away at Southbound (in where I managed to get the bassist of The National's guitar pick), spent ten days in Sydney volunteering at Flickerfest and grown up a little bit, I hope. So that's that in a nutshell.

Now it's 2011 and I've already had the best start to the year. So let's look at the year ahead... (Yes, I am aware that the new year started 18 days ago therefore I'm incredibly late. Just keep in mind that I've spent a grand total of 3 nights in my own bed this year so access to a decent internet source has been limited.) This year I start my first year of my Arts Communications degree at the local university. I'm thinking of taking French, Politics, History and English as my first four units (subjects almost identical to my high school days). I'm deathly excited to get back into studying again. I'm saving up for a bike so I can ride into uni instead of having to pay to catch the bus everyday. I'm still working at Hunt Leather, which is treating me really well. I have a great group of friends (cue soppy music) that I love dearly and wouldn't replace for the world. Okay, that's as cliche as i'm going to get. I'm half-way through Love in the Time of Cholera (a book i've been meaning to read for a couple of years now), still obsessed with Glee, trying to learn Spanish and currently listening to Kanye West.

Hopefully you guys are still interested to follow the blog. I'll be developing 4 rolls of film as soon as I get some cash. As for now, I'll be uploading my limited snaps that I took from Sydney and perhaps a wardrobe update over the following weeks.
